About this tool

One converter for the units that come up in solution work: volumes from litres to nanolitres, amounts from moles to picomoles, molar and mass concentrations, and lengths down to nanometres and ångströms.

How to use it

  1. Choose the quantity.
  2. Enter the value and its unit.
  3. Read the value in every other unit of that quantity.

Formula f(x)

Every value is converted to the SI base or coherent unit (L, mol, mol/L, g/L, m) and then to each target unit:

valuetarget = value × factorsource / factortarget

Worked example check your setup

2.5 mL = 2.5 × 10−3 L = 2500 µL. 50 nmol = 0.05 µmol. 280 nm = 2800 Å.
