Disclaimer

What the calculators and guides are for, what they are not for, and the limits of the results they give.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Please read this disclaimer before relying on any calculator, guide or other content on Peptide Research Tools (“the site”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you accept it, together with our terms of use and privacy policy.

Research and educational use only

The calculators and guides are provided for laboratory research and education. They perform general chemical and unit calculations: molecular weight, sequence properties, moles, molarity, dilutions, concentration units and stock solutions.

  • They are not medical, clinical, pharmaceutical or veterinary tools.
  • They do not give dosing, administration or treatment information for people or animals, and must not be used for that purpose.
  • Nothing on the site describes a material as suitable for human or animal use.

Not professional advice

The content is general information for people who already work, study or teach in a laboratory setting. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, your institution’s safety office, or the documentation supplied with your materials and equipment.

Check before you rely on a result

We test the calculations against reference values and show the working so each result can be checked. Even so, a result is only as good as the values entered and the assumptions behind it.

  • Your inputs. A wrong unit, sequence or molecular weight gives a wrong answer that may still look plausible.
  • Your material. The tools cannot know the purity, salt form, counter-ion or water content of a sample. Use the values on your certificate of analysis.
  • Estimates. Isoelectric point, net charge, hydropathy and extinction coefficients are calculated from published constants and can differ from measured values.
  • Rounding. Results are rounded for display, as described in the methodology.

Verify critical values independently before use at the bench, especially where an error would waste material, compromise an experiment or create a hazard.

Your responsibility in the lab

You are responsible for how you use any result. That includes handling materials safely, following the safety data sheet and your institution’s procedures, and complying with the laws and regulations that apply to your work and location.

Guides and reference content

Guides explain how each calculation works. They are written and reviewed with care, but they may contain errors or become out of date as standards and reference values change. Each guide lists its sources so you can check the original. If you spot a mistake, please report it.

No warranty

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the site or its content. This includes lost materials, time, data or results. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Embedded calculators

Calculators embedded on other websites carry the same disclaimer. We do not control the pages they appear on, and we are not responsible for how a third-party site presents or uses them.

External links

Guides and tools link to third-party sources such as IUPAC, NIST and journal publishers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Sponsorship and independence

The site is supported by NuLife Peptides, as described on the sponsors page. The sponsor has no input into the calculations, constants, guides or sources, and the tools and guides contain no product links or recommendations. Sponsorship is not an endorsement of any product by us, or of the site’s content by the sponsor.

Changes

We may update this disclaimer as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
