Terms of Use

The terms for using, linking to, citing and embedding the calculators and guides.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

These terms apply to your use of Peptide Research Tools (“the site”, “we”, “us”), including calculators embedded on other websites. By using the site you agree to them, along with our disclaimer and privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

The site provides free laboratory calculators and explanatory guides for research and education. No account is needed. We may add, change, improve or withdraw tools and content at any time, and we do not guarantee that the site will always be available.

Permitted use

You may use the calculators and guides for research, study, teaching and laboratory work, including in commercial laboratories. You must not use them, or present their results, as medical, clinical, veterinary or dosing guidance. See the disclaimer for details.

Linking

You are welcome to link to any page on the site, including individual tools, guides and calculation links made with Copy link. No permission is needed.

Embedding calculators

Each tool page provides an embed code so you can place the calculator on your own website, lab wiki, intranet or course page free of charge. When you embed a calculator:

  • use the embed code as provided, and do not alter the calculator or its results;
  • keep the credit line linking back to the tool and to this site visible;
  • do not present the calculator as your own work, or suggest that we endorse your site, products or services;
  • do not place it next to content that presents its results as dosing or clinical guidance.

Embeds are provided “as is”. We may update or retire an embedded tool, and we may ask you to remove an embed that does not meet these terms.

Citing the tools

You may cite a tool or guide in papers, methods sections, theses and teaching material. A suggested format is:

Peptide Research Tools. Tool or guide name. URL (accessed date).

Because tools can be corrected or improved, include the access date. Where a result matters, include your inputs too.

Content and copyright

The text of the guides, the site design and the code are owned by Peptide Research Tools or its licensors. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link to the source page. Please do not copy whole guides or republish the site’s content in bulk without permission.

The physical constants and reference data used in the calculations come from the public sources listed on each page and on the methodology page. They are not claimed as our own.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its server;
  • scrape or download content in bulk by automated means, other than normal search-engine indexing;
  • use the contact form to send spam, advertising or harmful content;
  • frame the whole site or present it in a way that misleads users about its source.

Corrections and feedback

If you believe a calculation or guide is wrong, please report it. Suggestions you send may be used to improve the site without any obligation to you, though we are happy to credit reporters who wish to be named.

Sponsorship

The site is supported by a sponsor, as described on the sponsors page. The sponsor has no input into the calculators or guides.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties, and our liability is limited as set out in the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the site develops. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact

Questions about these terms, or requests about embedding and permissions, can be sent through the contact page.
